Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris is just one of many passengers affected by the cancellation of Bearskin Airlines service between the Region of Waterloo and Ottawa.
He tells 570News he’s disappointed, but reiterates he is a huge fan of the airport itself.
“The folks down there operating the airport have done a fantastic job. I see our airport locally as a major economic factor in the well being of our Region. I’m happy with things down there, but it’s unfortunate that Bearskin has pulled service to and from Ottawa from our regional airport.”
He plans to speak with the airline for more details, and hopes this isn’t the end of travel to and from Ottawa.
“It will impact people, forcing them to travel to Toronto, and hopefully somebody fills the gap here with the Ottawa-Kitchener flight.”
Harris was planning to book a flight today on Bearskin Airlines, but like many other passengers, will have to find another way to and from the nation’s capital.
