BlackBerry releases Q4 results on Friday

BlackBerry is set to release its fourth-quarter earnings report Friday morning and investors will be very interested in hearing what CEO John Chen has to say.

Analysts generally expect the high tech company to post revenue of $1.1-billion and a net loss of about 57 cents a share for the quarter ending March 1, 2014.

The Globe and Mail reports investors will be looking for more than just numbers.

They will want more details on the company’s cost-cutting measures and how they are affecting the bottom line.

They will also want to hear more about a production deal with Foxconn.

It recently began making lower-end BlackBerrys aimed at overseas markets.
