Quebec’s anti brutality protest

Montreal police wasted no time in shutting down an annual protest march against police brutality.

Just minutes after hundreds gathered to demonstrate, police declared the march illegal because the marchers didn’t provide an itinerary as required by a by-law.

About 280 protesters were each ticketed 638-dollars, and five were arrested.
