India has ordered its navy and air force to temporary halt their search for a Malaysian Airlines jet liner that vanished eight days ago.
Indian officials say the search will resume once the Malaysian government identifies fresh areas to be examined.
In the last three days, India’s navy and air force searched more than a-quarter of-a-million square kilometres of the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
The Boeing Triple-7 carried 239 people, including two Canadians.
