St. Patrick’s Day comes early

St. Patrick’s day came early this year at Kitchener City Hall.

Dozens of people gathered outside around the skating rink today to celebrate the city’s annual “St. Patrick’s Day Lunch.”

Organizer for the event Julie Marshall says they kicked off the celebration early this year to capture the march break crowd.

“We try to work around the day. Last year we held it on St. Patrick’s day, but this year again because of March break we decided to do it on the Friday.”

Live music, irish food, and kids crafts got families in the spirit for when the day arrives on Monday.
