No word on the cause of a fire that completely destroyed a garage in Cambridge earlier today. The blaze started in the garage, but did extend a little ways into the attic.
Three people were home at the time, including one adult and two children and all managed to get out of the house safely.
About a dozen crews from three different departments responded, some remain on scene checking for hot spots.
Officials with the Cambridge Fire Department have let me know they’ve called in the Electrical Safety Authority to help with the investigation.
A damage estimate has not been determined at this time.
Fairview Road will remain closed at Bishop until further notice.
