Wind chill warning in effect for Waterloo Region

Environment Canada has issued a windchill warning for Waterloo Region and much of Southern Ontario.

Temperatures are forecast to drop into the minus 20s overnight and early Monday morning.

Winds will combine with these temperatures to give wind chill values into the minus 30s.

Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if adequate precautions are not taken when outdoors and can happen within minutes.
