Perth County OPP officer hurt in crash

A Perth County OPP officer is in hospital with major injuries after her cruiser was struck from behind by a pick-up truck at a crash scene.

Police say the officer and the two drivers involved in the collision were in the cruiser — which had flares behind it –when it was hit yesterday afternoon.

The crash happened on Perth Road 131 just north of Milverton.

One of the motorists suffered minor injuries and the other was unharmed.

The 23 year old driver of the pickup and her two passengers were not injured.
