Former Waterloo CFO running for council

The City of Waterloo has its first declared candidate for Ward One in the upcoming municipal election.
Bob Mavin, a former Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for the city, has filed his nomination papers for October’s vote.
The seat is currently held by Scott Witmer, who is not seeking re-election.
Mavin says the key issues for him are fiscal accountability, traffic issues on the west side and the efficient delivery of the services.
