12:00pm- Dr. Paul Echlin, Primary Care Sports Medicine Specialist, Practicing Sports Medicine in Burlington, Ontario, Board Certified in Family and Sports Medicine in Canada, Re: Collaborative studies now show further evidence of damage caused by concussion in young Canadian hockey players. The Hockey Concussion Education Project under the leadership of Dr. Echlin, and in collaboration with a team from Harvard Medical School/Brigham and the Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital/Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging/Western University of Canada have published new findings from an advanced MRI analysis of male and female collegiate ice-hockey athletes in the Journal of Neurosurgery.
