10:00am- Cormac Mac Sweeney, 570 News Parliament Hill Reporter, Re: The Transportation Safety Board has made three recommendations in the wake of the rail disaster in Lac-Megantic, Quebec. The board is calling for better protection standards for tanker cars used to haul flammable liquids by rail. It also wants a speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour on key train routes for dangerous goods, and twice-a-year inspections of those routes. The third recommendation calls for railways to draft emergency response plans for the transportation of all large volumes of liquid petroleum products.

10:30am- Kristen Kennedy, Regional Vice President, BMO Bank of Montreal, Re: According to the second annual BMO Household Savings Report released today, Canadians saved an average of $8,764 last year. As well, many are setting their sights higher for 2014, with Canadians planning to set aside an average of $9,635 in the year ahead, an increase of 10%.
