Requirements in place before crews can continue work after Sheridan Mall collapse

The Ministry of Labour continues to investigate the collapse of the Sheridan Centre in Mississauga, that left a Kitchener man dead.
33 year-old Christopher Crawford was killed after he was trapped under a girder while he was working at the site where a Target Canada store was under construction.
Ministry spokesperson, William Lin tells 570 News two orders have been issued on the structure including a stop-work order following the collapse on January 13th.
There are also two requirements in place before crews can continue work. Those are to remove sections of the structure and to provide an engineering report regarding the existing steel structure stating it is capable of supporting all loads applied to it.
