10:00am- Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs for the Government of Canada, Re: The former head of the OPP issued a statement on Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party resolution aimed at ensuring sex trade workers are legally able to run a “successful business.” Fantino says “While our Government is focused on jobs and growth for law-abiding Canadians, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party is singularly focused on legalizing Canada’s marijuana and prostitution.” He says the government has been equally clear: we will not legalize any harmful drug. We will continue protecting the interests of families and vulnerable people across this country.
10:30am- Leslie Church, Member of Ontario’s Open Government Engagement Team, Re: Ontario’s Open Government initiative will open up more data and information and give the people of Ontario new and improved ways to engage in the decision-making process and the development of policy. It will increase openness, transparency and accountability, and boost innovation and economic productivity.
