10:00am- A group of doctors and nurses says poverty is the biggest barrier to good health and is urging the provincial government to raise the minimum wage to 14-dollars an hour.  Health Providers Against Poverty says stress from living in poverty releases chemicals in the body that inhibit brain growth in infants and children.

10:20am- Still no sign of Kitchener native Jeffrey Boucher, who Durham police believe went out for a jog on Monday morning in Whitby and never returned. Durham police have been searching on foot, in helicopters, on A-T-V’s and with dogs for the 52-year-old. Police have said foul play is not suspected, but concede there have few leads. 570’s Blair Adams spoke with Jeff’s parents Mary and Bruce.

10:30am- Jagmeet Singh, NDP Consumer Affairs Critic and MPP for Bramalea-Gore-Malton, Re: There are reports the Financial Services Commission of Ontario will indicate auto insurance rates are down about 4% when it releases its figures today. But Singh had said his party believed the Liberals were nowhere near meeting their promised goal of an average 8% cut in the first year. The NDP claim auto insurers are enjoying $1.6  billion in annual profits while drivers wait longer and longer for relief from the highest auto insurance rates in Canada. Singh says “drivers are frustrated and are still waiting for relief.” The Liberal government agreed to an NDP demand for a 15% cut in car insurance rates over 2years in order to get last year’s budget passed.
