It’s day three of a PSW strike – and SEIU Healthcare leaders are stopping in Waterloo Region today on their province-wide homecare tour.
4,500 personal support workers walked off the job yesterday to support their demands for justice and a living wage.
The itinerary for the two-day tour includes stops at offices of Red Cross Care Partners, the for-profit company that is the largest homecare agency in the province, and Community Care Access Councils, the provincial funding agency.
SEIU Healthcare President Sharleen Stewart and Vice-President Emanuel Carvalho will visit the Community Care Access Centre office at 141 Weber St. South in Waterloo within the hour.
They will also stop in Cambridge, Guelph and Woodstock.
