Downtown Kitchener BIA hosting first Black Friday event

There is no need to travel south of the border for Black Friday deals.

The Downtown Kitchener BIA is hosting their first ever Black Friday shopping event, with carriage rides and ice skating at city hall as free family friendly add-ons.

Events and Communications Coordinator, Breanna Crossman says its important for consumers to support their local shops.

She says they are asking all businesses to stay open until 11pm.

The free carriage rides are from 5:30 until 9:30pm.
