Wayne Gretzky monument defaced

A Wayne Gretzky statue in the his home town of Brantford has been fixed after some vandals carved made-up names into the Stanley Cup held by the “Great One” in the monument.

Though there was local backlash against the vandalism, neither Gretzky’s family or the city’s mayor were concerned by the defacement.

However, a Toronto-based bronze company has now wiped away the bogus names and put on new writing.
