Dutchmen win 17th straight

The Kitchener Dutchmen have extended their winning streak to 17 games.

The Dutchies came from behind for a 3-2 shootout win over Elmira last night at a packed Kinsmen Arena.

Kitchener trailed 2-1 after two periods but Adam Kawalec scored a power play goal with less than two minutes to play forcing overtime.

Leading scorer Keli Grant assisted on that game tying goal and added the shootout winner in helping keep the streak alive.

The Dutchmen will be looking for an 18th straight win on Sunday afternoon when they meet the Waterloo Siskins.
