One man dead after hit and run in Wellington County

Wellington County OPP are asking for any witnesses to come forward after a man was found Thursday morning lying in the east ditch of County Road 7, between Wellington Road 51 and Highway 6.
Constable Bob Bortolato says police responded to the call after 7:30 AM, finding a damaged blue mountain bike and a few vehicle parts.
OPP believe those vehicle those parts belong to a silver or grey 2008-2011 Ford car, with damage to its passenger side.
Bortolato reminds cyclists to be cautious on busy roads.
County Road 7 was closed as of 7:30 AM for the investigation.
Wellington County OPP Traffic Management unit, Crime Management Unit, Technical Collision Investigators and West Region’s Forensic Identification unit are working together to identify the deceased male.
