The Kitchener Dutchmen have added some firepower to their first-place roster.
Cambridge native Mitchell Dempsey joins the team, after starting this season with the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds.
The 18-year old was a 7th round selection of the Boston Bruins this past June, and joins a Dutchies team that has won 14 games in a row.
Dempsey recorded 11 points and 46 penalty minutes in 72 career OHL games with the Greyhounds and Plymouth Whalers.
Kitchener is looking for a 15th straight win tomorrow night, on the road in Listowel.
Meantime, the Dutchies also swept the Midwestern Conference’s Player of the Month honours, with nods going to goaltender Marc Williams, defenceman John Divo and forward Keli Grant.
