New Area Code Planned for Waterloo Region

Phone numbers in Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Sarnia, and Brantford will have a new area code in two years.
The CRTC announced that new numbers in the 226 and 519 regions may be given area code 548.
These changes will start on June 4, 2015.
This comes as The Canadian Numbering Administrator expects area codes 226 and 519 serving southwestern Ontario to run out of telephone numbers by September 2015.
