Former Kitchener Ranger Cory Genovese is in hot water again.
The Cambridge native, now with the Erie Otters, received a match penalty for “intent to injure” during Saturday’s game versus Ottawa.
The penalty draws an automatic three game suspension but the league is reviewing the play and a stiffer suspension could be handed down.
Genovese recently returned from a 5-game suspension he received for
cross-checking Windsor’s Ty Bilcke in the face.
