Get Ready for Autumn

Time to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall, which officially arrives at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, September 22.

Although some may be less than thrilled going into the cooler temperatures, there is something to look forward to: a picturesque fall season, according to Seinor Climatologist with Environment Canada, Dave Phillips.

As far as the temperature goes, Phillips says we can expect a dryer than normal season and perhaps best of all, “a glorious technicolour look.”

Take advantage of what Phillips refers to as “free energy time” without heat or air conditioner costs before welcoming our early winter.

There is no need to worry about the early pending winter, as Phillips also advises that winter may come sooner than last year – but it wont stay as late.
