Q2 growth for Brick Brewing

Waterloo-based Brick Brewing saw plenty of brand growth in its second quarter.

Brick says volume of its Waterloo line of beers was up 22 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The beer makers profit was $2.4 million, a decline of over 21 per cent compared to the second quarter of 2012. Brick says that was due to higher marketing costs.

“We have made clear and thoughtful choices for this Company’s future and the game plan is playing out” stated George Croft, President and CEO. “Waterloo and Seagram are higher margin offerings that compete in key growth segments – craft beer, ciders and coolers,”
