CarShare Conference Zooms Through The Region

Community CarShare, Southwestern Ontario’s non-profit carsharing co-operative, is hosting its peers from across the country starting today at the Federation of Canadian Carsharing Co-Operative Conference.
The Conference brings together co-ops from B-C, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, And Ontario to discuss ideas and industry best practices.
Janet MacLeod is the Executive Director of Community CarShare and tells 570 News the conference is a great opportunity to share ideas with members.
“Having an opportunity to bring the community together and talk about what we do every day… we all get a lot of energy out of this and take back new ideas.”
Community CarShare provides access to 36 vehicles on a self-serve, pay-per-use basis to more than 900 members in Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Elmira, and Guelph.
The Co-operatives was officially founded in 2012, has been holding a yearly conference since 2010.
