ION Logo Revealed

The logo for Waterloo Region’s Light Rail Transit system has been unveiled.

Quarry and The Regional Transit Brand Group Developed the logo with the goal of meeting all criteria outline by the region.

The ‘ION’ logo had to reflect simplicity, timelessness and memorability.

In a report that will be presented to council on Tuesday, it states the logo helps unite the two transit services into one seamless and cohesive network with GRT.

Regional council will vote on the design September 10th.
