Lane closures to impact Highway 7/8 this weekend

Get ready for more lane closures along Highway 7/8 through Kitchener.

Work will begin this weekend to bring down one of the bridges that crosses over Westmount Road.

Westmount, of course, will have to be closed.

That will happen at 5am Saturday with traffic being diverted along Westmount, Ottawa, Fischer-Hallman and Greenbrook Drive.

It’s the latest phase in a $96-million widening project which started last year.
