Back to school jitters for some high school students

Most parents have been waiting for it while some students have been dreading it. Yes it’s that last weekend before back to school.
While many may be enthusiastic about class a lot of high school students are feeling the pressure.
A recent study done by Ipsos in partnership with CIBC and Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada found 64% of students in grades 10 through 12 are uncertain about pursuing college or university.
President of Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada, Bruce Macdonald tells 570 News many of the students are concerned about the financial aspect,
” Many of them will be thinking about needing a student loan almost half and are concerned that they are going to pay that off for along time. Almost 90 per cent of them would like to see the government help them out more in being able to ensure they don’t have long term student debt.”
He adds students should take advantage of scholarship opportunities and save as much money on their own as possible.
