Region growing faster than expected

The latest figures from the province indicate Waterloo Region’s population is growing faster than expected.
It forecasts our population will reach 742,000 by 2031, which is 13,000 more than the previous estimate.
It also says, by 2041 it will climb to 835,000.
The Record says province-wide, population growth will be driven by people living longer, rising fertility rates and immigration.
Currently, our population is pegged at 559,000 when you also factor in university students.
