Roundabout decision delayed

Regional council is holding off making a decision about what to do about the Franklin Boulevard/Saginaw Parkway intersection in Cambridge.

A roundabout is proposed for that location, although there is some concern about its location: near St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School.

Last night, council deferred any decision on that project until after year one construction improvements are complete in Cambridge.

Those include roundabouts at Pinebush Road, Sheldon Drive and Bishop Street and at Clyde Road, Savage Drive and Main Street.

Once that work is complete, staff will prepare an operational review of those projects and then council will decide what to do at Franklin and Saginaw.
