Workplace accident in Cambridge

The Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace accident in Cambridge.  

Police say a construction worker at a new home site on Fitzgerald Drive, off Dundas South, fell through a hole on the main floor of a home yesterday and landed 10 feet below in the basement.

Police say the 23-year-old was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital and then transferred to a Hamilton hospital for surgery.
