Pedestrian hit by train

A 76 year old Waterloo man has been taken to Grand River Hospital with major injuries after he was struck by a via rail train while on his bicycle at Lancaster and Victoria Street in Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional police tell 570 News the lights were flashing and train barricades were down at the time of the collision.
The section of road will be closed for several hours during the police investigation.
