2pm- Jason Arndt who was the driver who hit Lydia Herrle back in 2012 has pleaded guilty. With him pleading guilty, he will now have to pay a $2,000 fine and live without his driver’s license for 6 months. On May 17th, 2012 Arndt was reaching for a cigarette and lighter when he looked up and was unable to stop in time when Lydia was hit. She suffered multiple fractures and a brain injury and remains in rehabilitative therapy.

Question: Is this sentence enough for a careless driver?

2:30pm- Grand River Hospital is butting out for good. Effective April 2nd, the hospital implemented a tobacco free policy that will apply to all four it its buildings and properties, and will eliminate designated smoking areas that were previously in place. This means smoking is not allowed on any part of the property.
