2:00- Andrea Horwath, NDP Ontario Leader Re: Premier Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals will support a non-binding motion put forth by the NDP that will call for a 15% cut in auto insurance premiums. Wynne warns though the specific mechanics to lower premiums may not be that the NDP laid out.
Question: Do you think this will have an effect on your rates?
2:30- Elliott Silverstein, CAA Manager of Government Relations, Re: The Premier says Ontario needs a dedicated fund to repair roads and bridges. Kathleen Wynne said that new tolls or taxes could be introduced to pay for the upgrades. And 1 of those options could see drivers paying extra to drive in high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes.
