2:00- A 72-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a fellow resident at a Toronto seniors home. Police say Joycelyn Dickson was pronounced dead after her body was found late last night at the Wexford Residence (at Lawrence and Midland Avenues) in the city’s east end. They say a 91-year-old woman and home resident was also assaulted and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Health Care Workers and Families say “more staff is needed” in all homes. 34% of residents hit and or beat each other in Seniors Homes!? Q’s : Do they need more staff? Will that work? Best question: Do you want to spend the money on this?
