Riverside Dam project

The 100-year-old Riverside Dam in Cambridge will soon be one step closer to a face lift.

Cambridge city councillors will hear an update on Monday about the environment assessment project aimed at restoring the crumbling structure which was deemed to be unsafe and not maintained in 2007.

The goal now is a permanent fix  and council will be reviewing the environmental, social, community and financial needs of the dam before selecting one of four possible fixes.

The best solution will be presented at a public input session in April.
