Snowfall warning issued

We’re watching the skies today as a powerful system makes its way up from the southern U-S and is expected to arrive in southern Ontario this afternoon.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Waterloo Region and much of the province.

It says the system will move into the extreme southwest of the province this afternoon and track eastward, arriving here late afternoon or evening.

It says it could start as rain but is expected to quickly change over to snow for our area.

It says there is a good possibility of at least 10 centimetres of heavy wet snow for Waterloo Region tonight and into tomorrow.

570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson expects us to receive at least 15 centimetres.
