2:00pm – Duncan Retires
Dwight Duncan will be stepping down from his post next Thursday. The 54 year old is Finance Minister as well as MPP for Windsor and Tecumseh. According to reports published today, they hint at Dwight Duncan running federally in the future.
2:30pm – Private Property Ticket
A man was given a $350 dollar ticket for parking overnight at a Kitchener apartment without a visitor permit. The City of Kitchener didn’t issue the ticket; instead a Brampton firm issued it. The building is on private property and the landlord hired the firm called Parking Control Unit to issue tickets. Frank Smukavic is refusing to pay the ticket as he believes it’s a scam. The Brampton Company also said that if Mr.Smukavic doesn’t pay the fine, he will have to fight it in small claims court.
