Barn fire near landfill

Waterloo fire fighters are on the scene this morning of a barn fire.

Waterloo Regional Police say it broke out around 12:30 on Erb Street West between Ira Needles and Wilmot Line – across from the landfill site.

Not a lot of details are available, but it appears the structure was destroyed.

Police say it is believed the barn was not in use.

The cause is under investigation.
