Milloy endorses Pupatello

As the race to replace Premier Dalton McGuinty at the helm of the Ontario Liberal Party continues to heat up, Kitchener Centre MPP John Milloy has endorsed one of the candidates vying for the position.
Milloy pledged support for former cabinet minister Sandra Pupatello on Monday afternoon while the once long-time Windsor area MPP toured Waterloo Region, speaking to community leaders and supporters.
“Sandra Pupatello will bring both experience and a solid vision for Ontario’s future to the leadership of this party. Having worked closely with her at Queen’s Park, I saw first hand her intelligence, energy and enthusiasm. Among her many strengths is an ability to connect with ordinary Ontarians and understand the role our government can play in helping them achieve success,” Milloy said in a news release sent to 570 News.
In that same release, Pupatello said “The best way to secure the future for every Ontario family, and for generations to come, is to build an economy on a foundation of stable, well-paying jobs. If elected leader and Premier, my number one priority will be jobs – creating and retaining jobs from North to South and East to West. John Milloy gets this. The Kitchener-Waterloo region plays a vital role in Ontario’s economy and the people from this region have told us that they expect their leader and their government to focus on jobs and getting the economy firing on all cylinders again. I have the drive, the experience and the plan to make it happen.”
There are six candidates including Pupatello running for party leadership, and in turn the position of Premier. The other five are Eric Hoskins, Gerard Kennedy, Glen Murray, Kathleen Wynne, and Charles Sousa.
