Fatal fire in Guelph

An elderly man is dead following a weekend house fire in Guelph.

Police say 91-year-old Walter Duda was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities arrived at the home on Clive Avenue Saturday morning.

Guelph Police say damage is estimated at $350,000 and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is assisting in the investigation.

No word yet on a possible cause.
