UPDATE Armed robberies

Waterloo Regional Police now say they have made two arrests in connection with three armed robberies that took place less than 12 hours apart.

Police say a 17-year-old male as well as an adult male were arrested yesterday after a search warrant was executed at a home in south Kitchener.

The arrests stemmed from two hold-ups in Waterloo Tuesday night and a third one early yesterday in Kitchener.

A handgun was allegedly displayed during the robberies.
