Cambridge express buses cheaper

The cost of Waterloo Region’s rapid transit plan has gone down considerably.
The Record reports the estimated cost of express buses from Cambridge has dropped from $83 million to $20 million.
The project director of rapid transit says the $83 million figure was based on a 2009 number.
The express bus system from Cambridge will include six stops. It will take just over 30 minutes to get from the Ainslie Street terminal to Fairview Park Mall.
Construction on the bus route is expected to start in 2013.
