WRPS officer steps in the ring

A local police officer will be in the ring on Saturday night.
Waterloo Regional Police constable and amateur boxer Amy Olson will represent the service at the “Ringside for Kids Rally and Boxing Event” in Toronto.
She will fight Jessica Swain of the Peterborough Boxing Club. Olson will be coached by Levar Piper along with Pan American gold medal winner and national champion Mandy Bujold of Kitchener.
The match is part of an international competition involving members of Ontario and U.S. police services, the Canadian military, and the U.S. Army.
The event takes place at the Fort York Armoury in Toronto and is held in support of the Canada Company Scholarship Fund.
