3:00 Teachers Filling in Report Cards Parents may notice a streamlined report card next month – as teachers continue their battle with the province. The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario has sent an advisory to union locals recommending teachers only write the minimum comment required per section – even a single line, instead of full paragraphs. The move would appear to be related to the ongoing fight between teachers’ unions and the provincial government, but it’s not been confirmed. Today’s Record reports the local public school board expects the progress reports to be personalized to the student, provide meaningful feedback and include steps for improvement. The study followed more than 14,000 doctors over the age of 50 for an average of 11 years. Each was given either a multivitamin or a placebo to take every day.
