Vancouver Police say a human hand and foot have been found in packages sent to two schools in the city.
Deputy Police Chief Warren Lemcke says one package was sent to an elementary school and the other to a private boy’s school.
He says the coroner’s service has been called in to help with the investigation, which will focus on identifying the victim and determining where the packages came from.
Lemcke says his department has been in contact with Montreal police who are investigating the murder of Chinese student Jun Lin and the sending of body parts to the headquarters of the federal Liberal and Conservative parties.
The suspect in that killing, Luka Magnotta, was arrested in Germany this week and will be extradited back to Canada.
