University of Waterloo research grant

A University of Waterloo is getting a total of 5.8 million dollars to study the effects of digital gaming.

The announcement was made yesterday at the opening event for Congress 2012.

Professor Neil Randall is receiving a Partnership Grant worth 2.5 million from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The rest of the money comes from five academic partners.

The project includes industry partners and academics from several disciplines.
