East 401 back open near Drumbo

A collision involving a tractor trailer and six vehicles on the Eastbound 401 near Drumbo caused some major delays this morning.

OPP, Woodstock fire and emergency services were called to the scene just after 6am.

Police diverted traffic off on Highway 2 and the East 401 was re-opened there just before 1pm.

OPP Constable Stacey Culbert told 570 News three people were hurt, “we did have three parties that were transported to the Woodstock General Hospital, one of those persons has since been transported to London Health Sciences and still remains in critical condition.”

The cause of the accident is not yet known, “We can’t speculate at this time regards to a cause. However, certainly when I arrived on scene a few hours later we were having some, definitely not spring weather in the area”, said Culbert.
