Construction on the 7/8

With summer approaching, construction is now underway on the 7/8 in Kitchener. At this stage, the highway heading eastbound between Fischer-Hallman Road and Courtland Avenue is effected.
The Region is hoping for patience with the project, guaranteeing a positive result with the widening .
The plan includes new on and off ramps at Fischer-Hallman, as well as expanding the highway to six lanes.
Paula Sawicki, with the region’s planning department, says the pain now will all be worth it in the end.
The entire project will be complete by 2015.
