9:00 570News Reporter Laura Carney will be joining Jeff by phone from London with update on the Rafferty trial. 9:15 CLOSE CALLS We hear it all the time, pedestrians hit by motor vehicles, including one yesterday morning on Victoria and Westmount. Jeff was in the same area yesterday afternoon and noticed an elderly woman with a walker attempting to cross that same busy street in that same area. We see this all the time, pedestrians not using proper crosswalks, pedestrian taking chances “to beat the cars” across the street, or how about those using ear buds and not paying attention to the vehicles around them? We’ve all had some near misses. Question: What are your “close calls” or “dumb pedestrian” stories?
